About Us

The history of Pollution Control Products Co. is the history of "burn-off" ovens.

Peyton Simpson, the company founder, designed his first burn-off oven in 1970 for a neighboring business trying to comply with new environmental emission standards. The success of that first oven launched Pollution Control Products Co. the following year, 1971. Today, the company is the recognized leader in the sales and service of industrial burn-off ovens, with over 7,000 installations in 45 countries around the world. Pollution Control is a small, family-owned and operated company founded on sound management and financial principles. We honor our commitments and pay our bills on time (PCPC maintains a 3A1 Dun & Bradstreet rating).

With headquarters and manufacturing operations in Dallas, Texas and affiliated manufacturing operations in England and Australia, Pollution Control serves a broad spectrum of domestic and international markets and industries, including:

  • Paint and Powder Coating Operations
  • Plastics, Fiber and Chemical Manufacturers
  • Electric Motor Rebuilders
  • Automotive Engine and Parts Rebuilders
  • Commercial Contract Cleaners

Ranging in size from 13 cubic feet to more than 2600 cubic feet in volume, the company makes four types of Burn-Off ovens to cover the entire field of thermal stripping and cleaning. Pollution Control furnaces safely remove plastics, waxes, resins, hot melt adhesives, tars, carbonized residues, paints, powder coatings, oils, greases, asphalts, and other organic materials. They eliminate the need for acids, strippers, liquid or gaseous solvents, sanding or sand blasting.

For nearly four decades Pollution Control has been first in sales, service and innovation.

The company's first "ovens", Stator Reclamation Furnaces, were built for stripping electric motor stators so they could be rewound for rebuilt motors. Our single burner Model 88 furnace was a labor saving breakthrough for the electric motor rewinding industry. Since then PCPC has led the way in product and market innovation and today stands as the largest single manufacturer of industrial burn-off furnaces serving manufacturers in the United States and the world.

Other "Firsts" by the company include:

  • Introduced the patented Controlled Pyrolysis® furnace using a water spray system to control the rate of smoke emitted in the cleaning process, which created a new market - companies with paint and powder coating operations.
  • Introduced thermal cleaning to the Plastics Industry with our patented InertGas™ oven, which uses a reduced oxygen environment and dual water sprays to increase the volumes of material that can be processed.
  • Introduced the patented RateControlled™ furnace increasing the level of processing control of the original Controlled Pyrolysis® design and allowed the processing of heavier loads.

Principles of Doing Business

Our Goal as a manufacturer of pollution controlled cleaning furnaces, or burn-off ovens, is to build, supply and service quality equipment at a fair cost, to be used by other manufacturers and service companies to enhance the safety, timeliness and profitably of their operations.

Customers do not buy our product because it is pretty. Our product's looks don't impress anyone. Our product's quality, performance and cost set the standard in our industry. If someone doesn't need our product, they don't need it. If they have a problem that our product can solve, there is no better solution for the price.

Our job is to determine if our product can help you do your job better, cheaper, faster and safer. If so, our job is to offer, build, deliver and service our product as it works for you in your business.

That simple. Supply a quality product at a fair price to help you do your business better.

  • We continually strive to improve our burn-off furnaces. We never reduce the quality of a product to make it cheaper. Our products are guaranteed to satisfy. No arguments. No excuses.
  • We will not present "stripped down" equipment in order to make it appear less expensive, nor will we overload our furnaces with unnecessary options. Each customer will be quoted a product which fits their individual needs.
  • We price our furnaces fairly and will not gouge on pricing. All of our products are priced with a reasonable level of profit. Our financial success is maintained through an ongoing high volume of sales. We are a debt-free company and pay our vendors on time. Savings in manufacturing costs will be passed on to our customers.
  • We normally can ship faster than our competitors. We build many custom units, but keep in stock an inventory of popular sizes. Burn-off ovens are our only product and all of our efforts are directed toward giving the customer the best possible value.
  • Our sales, service, and factory staff are hard-working, intelligent and detail-oriented. We believe that what is best for our customer is best for all of us. All of our employees understand this concept and proudly share in the success of our company.
  • We believe customers can only assess the "true" value of a purchase after extensive use. Our customer service staff will provide courteous and prompt long-term service to promote furnace longevity and ease of maintenance. Advice will always be free.
