Extreme Coatings specializes in the encapsulation of injection molding and extrusion screws with wear and corrosion resistant coatings of tungsten or chromium carbide. Feedscrew life is at least doubled as a result providing for increased production efficiency and capacity, lower overall feedscrew replacement expense and reduced costs associated with the wear of the feedscrew. Wear from abrasive fillers such as fiberglass is resisted by the coatings as well as wear associated from metal to metal contact (screw flites against the barrel) Virtually any processor of plastic, either injection molding or extrusion, will benefit from an extended feedscrew life cycle. Extreme Coating gurantees to at least double the life of any feedscrew on the market today. They also offer a Purchase Encouragement Program (PEP) that allows first time customers to evaluate a coated feedscrew for 6 months FREE of charge. The feedscrew is the heart of a plasticating system and should be a primary concern.
