Equitech International Corporation manufactures research grade spectrophotometers and fiber optic probes for the measurement of color in plastic processes. Measurements can be taken directly in the extruder by direct contact with the polymer melt up to 400C and 20,000 psi. This innovative system permits faster color turnarounds, tighter quality control and decrease in reprocessed or waste material. The company offers a variety of probes that allow measurement of color by reflection or transmission in contact or non-contact with the sample.The Equispec OCS (Online Color Spectrophotometer) comes with its own software, EquiColor, designed to be used by operators in manufacturing. The software is simple to use, but powerful.
