Unscrambling Type Lid Handling Systems

Model L-790 Lid Stacker

Function Summary:

  • Lids are fed to the Unscrambling Disk from mold by in press conveyor (can be purchased from CBW or customer can provide.)
  • Lids are conveyed for air jet orientation before being conveyed, via Incline Vacuum Conveyor.
  • The lids are then conveyed to a “waterfall” type vacuum where the lid orientation is changed from the horizontal to vertical condition, before being deposited onto the Spin Bars.
  • The operator manually separates a length of lid stack for removal from the spin bars.

Standard Features:

  • Unscrambling Disk will include the Non-step Reject Pulley Escapement, Inner Disk Mechanism, Pre-escapement Tunnel, and Pre-escapement Paddle.
  • Allen Bradley Micro Logic PLC Controls.
  • Delrin Tapered Cone (replaces the black rubber material on the spin bars in order to aid in moving lids down the spin bars in a rapid fashion.
  • Rotating centrifugal disc unscrambler with two rotating discs operating at different rpm to facilitate lid orientation and separation.
  • Single-lane exit with photoelectric sensor to sense whether lid is right side or wrong side up.
  • Non-contact, air actuated re-orientation system.
  • Vacuum elevating conveyor with alignment guide to align oriented lids into single file.
  • Vacuum controlled lid pre-spin and feed station to feed oriented lids onto the accumulation conveyor or "spin bars".
  • Two-lane, three "spin bar", 7' accumulation conveyor, allowing 55" long stacks.
  • Stainless steel catch pan to catch lids, which fall from, spin bars.
  • Heavy-duty, 2" x 2" extruded frame, caster mounted for easy movement.
  • Motor, 3/4 HP (480/3/60, 1800 rpm) with variable pitch sheave control.
