TurboGel is a water temperature controller (+90°C / 195°F) with a superior water flow rate and highly efficient control through proportional motorized valve that makes it the key tool for the "PACKAGING" injection molder and for any other application where "productivity" is an issue, without compromising efficiency.

TurboGel is available for control of single or double zone and proposed in three configurations:
TB = wihtout heating
TD = with direct cooling
TX = with indirect cooling
with cooling capacity up to 100kW (?T 2°C) and heating capacity up to 48kW.

It's main features are:
  • control of temperature made through a proportional motorised valve
  • high pressure pumps, also with magnetic haulage

MicroGel is a compact water chiller designed for single-use applications with cooling capacity ranging from 4 to 90 kW.
MacroGel is a water chiller, specifically designed for single-use PET preforms injection molding, or for high cooling capacity processes, ranging from 133 to 312kW.
The special features of MicroGel and MacroGel are:

  • control of temperature made through a proportional motorised valve
  • water pressure available up to 7 bar (100 PSI) with max. 2°C (4°F) of ?T through the user
  • separate control on water temperature -5° / + 90° C [20° / 195°F], water pressure and flow rate of two zones of the user (”RCD or DUO” units)
  • automatic “free-cooling”
  • automatic filling and emptying of the user
  • serial communication with the most common processing machines available with dedicated interface software

HOW IT WORKS

This system is based on the fact that in many industrial processes there are different temperature control requirements. For many of these requirements (as, for instance, cooling the hydraulic oil of machines), a cooling plant supplying water at ambient temperature is perfectly suitable; for other users, on the other hand, a lower temperature (chilled water) or a higher temperature (heated water or other fluids) are needed, as well as a higher and more accurate control of flow rates and pressures.
Traditionally, cooling at “ambient temperature ” is made through evaporative cooling towers, whereas for chilled water, centralized water chillers are used. Water/water heat exchangers and “temperature controllers” are frequently connected to these chilled water distribution plants for the individual control of single processes.
The ECODRY system is an innovative solution, alternative to traditional cooling systems. Each process requiring chilled or heated water is individually controlled with the most appropriate device (Microgel, Thermogel, Airgel), keeping centralized the water cooling at “ambient temperature” only (Ecodrygel).
A general microprocessor panel controls the entire system, optimizing energy consumption and managing the overall performance.

The 4 key advantages of the ECODRY SYSTEM

  • Maximum energy savings (“free-cooling”).
    Thanks to the Ecodrygel all the potential cooling capacity of air is used for all the users that allow it. The system automatically and individually for each process switches to “free-cooling” mode, permitting an outstanding reduction in energy cost and the best possible energetic efficiency (“C.O.P.”).
  • Closed-loop operation.
    Compared to a system with cooling towers, the Ecodry System allows to keep the water always clean without need for any chemical treatment and, most important, eliminates all problems of scale, due to the fact that water consumption is completely eliminated.
  • Optimisation of the production cycle.
    The Ecodry System allows the complete personalisation for each process of the cooling parameters. The temperature of the delivered water can deviate from the set point by a maximum of ± 1°C (± 2°F), while pressure and flow rate are kept perfectly constant.
    Furthermore, the use, for each process, of an individual temperature control device (Microgel, Thermogel, Airgel), allows a remarkable reduction in cycle time with subsequent increase in productivity.
    As a matter of fact, a unit dedicated to the flow of the cooling fluid for each process individually, guarantees a very high and consistent flow rate through it. This implies a much better temperature distribution with clear results in terms of quality of production as well.
    The use of a «centralized» chiller (one for all the processes), represents a very «rigid» solution, not only because it does not allow a personalization of the cooling parameters for each process, but also in consideration of the fact that the control of temperature to each process is done by limiting the flow rate, with the effect that, in many cases, the temperature of the process could largely vary between the inlet and the outlet of the cooling fluid. The results are increased cycle times and poor quality of production, as well as an energetic inefficiency in keeping and circulating all the cooling fluid at the lowest temperature needed among all the users.
    To understand the importance of this phenomena, we invite you to consider that in many processes, - such as, for instance, plastic injection moulding - cooling may take 50 to 80 % of the total cycle time; thus, it is not something that we can consider optional to achieve the highest levels of performance in terms of productivity and quality.
  • Minimum installation cost.
    One single centralized water distribution circuit, instead of two. Besides that, minimum noise, no need for air conveyance ducts for expelling hot air generated by air-cooled indoor chiller, possibility to recover the heat, no need to insulate the piping.

HeavyGel is an industrial water chiller designed to cope with the most demanding cooling requirements; its main characteristics are:

All chillers of the Heavygel range can be connected to a microprocessor remote control panel. This panel allows an easy control of the installation, monitoring all working parameters and alarms and makes the plant perfectly modular.

  • continuous step-control of cooling capacity
  • automatic adjustment of the running hours of each compressor
  • constant control of all the functional parameters of the various chillers connected with signals (in 5 languages) on failure, causes and possible solutions
  • Possibility of being interfaced, through serial port, to automated supervisory systems

MultiGel is the water chiller designed for an extremely simple installation in parallel with existing units, allowing a virtually unlimited, quick and easy expansion of the cooling capacity available.
All units installed, with a cooling capacity of 45 kW each, are connected to a centralized microprocessor control panel.
This panel can be placed far from the chiller units and automatically manages the total cooling capacity available, allowing a perfect control of the water temperature supplied, optimizing energetic consumption and adjusting the running hours of each unit for an even ageing.


Each unit is identical to the others. This makes the cooling plant a “perfect” multi-circuit, with no parts in common, as it normally happens in pack chillers made of multiple gas circuits. 

In this way the cooling plant is greatly improved: the eventual damage of one unit doesn’t affect the others.
Can also be used as a single chiller. It is designed for external installation; it is extremely compact in size, easily portable and very simple to use and repair.

AirGel is a process air-cooler specifically designed for blown film extrusion, featuring:

  • Accurate temperature control
  • A remarkable increase in productivity, transparency and shine of the extruded film
  • Constant working conditions (“winter time” conditions are made available during summer time)
  • A reduction of energetic costs with respect to traditional cooling methods.
