May 7, 2008 - Schools are judged on a per capita basis for the weight of plastic bottles gathered for recycling. At Athens High, students can show their allegiance by pitching their plastic bottles into an Alabama or Auburn bin. A group of Clem's physical science students oversee much of the school's recycling of plastics, paper and aluminum cans.
