DuPont raises prices as energy costs soar

News Journal, Wilmington, Delaware
June 22, 2008 - In the past few weeks, DuPont has increased prices on a number of its products: electronics materials, Kevlar and Nomex fibers, titanium dioxide pigment and several resins and polymers. Another Wilmington firm facing heavy pricing pressure is DuPont's corporate cousin, Hercules Inc. Hercules spokesman John Riley said the company is impacted by price increases from manufacturers of commodity chemicals, as well as "almost unprecedented" runups in energy and raw material costs.
