Garden plastics recycling takes a step in the green direction

July 13, 2008 - Though a substantial proportion of the plastic resin that goes into the larger, sturdier pots is recycled from other sources, not much of that gets reused or recycled again. Re-engineering production, like cleaning pots for re-use and sorting them for recycling, would substantially increase costs. Louis that recycled more than 100,000 pounds of garden plastic into landscape timber in 2007.
