June 12, 2007 - For every tote bag sold for $1.99, if a customer returns it to Lindy's and reuses it, that person receives 10 cents off groceries. The General Assembly last month approved formation of a commission to study the effectiveness of recycling plastic shopping bags under a pilot program in retail rich Lake County, north of Chicago.
