Bush plans to veto stem cell bill

June 19, 2007 - Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid appealed to Bush on Tuesday not to veto the bill. Norm Coleman, R-Minn., who planned to be at the White House event, sought support for a stem cell bill he is sponsoring. The bill Bush is vetoing passed Congress on June 7, drawing the support of 210 House Democrats and 37 Republicans.
