June 20, 2007 - The Senate passed a bill that would allow the station at the Gansevoort site, which was scheduled to become part of the Hudson River Park. City officials say passage of the bill is the final hurdle to implementing the full plan. But the legislation remains bottled up in committee in the Democratic-controlled Assembly, a fact lamented by some of the legislators at Tuesday’s news conference.
