GTI's involvement with pipe and piping products began more than 50 years ago. GTI's staff has in-depth experience in both metallic and non-metallic systems, including fittings, valve, tools, and equipment. GTI's laboratory capabilities offer clients a wide range of ASTM, ISO, and other standard/custom testing procedures for plastics, rubber, and metals.


Metallic Piping Systems
GTI provides a full complement of services, such as field failure analyses; mechanical testing; and large-scale testing with dedicated laboratories for corrosion, coatings, and metallurgical examinations. GTI's staff can support field operations, support and evaluate system designs, and assist in the management of existing and new piping systems.


Non-Metallic Piping Systems
GTI has been a recognized leader since the early days of plastic natural gas pipe development. GTI is experienced in plastic pipe and fittings testing applicable for natural gas systems as well as water and electrical utilities. GTI routinely performs testing in accordance with ASTM and PPI protocols. These programs are comparable to those offered for metallic systems.
