SAFTEC® is an endothermic chemical nucleating and blowing agent for the creation of a foam structure in thermoplastic injection molding and extrusion applications. SAFTEC® Masterbatches for olefin uses our SAFTEC® powder and special olefinic surfactants and carrier resins, which improve melt tension and melt flow. They are commonly used in injection molding for the creation of structural foam composites and weight reduction. In extrusion operations, it is used for the creation of very fine cells in medium density extrudate. All SAFTEC® powders are made with special surfactants, which result in:

1. Improved bubble stability
2. Slowed moisture absorption and diffusion rate
3. Improved CO2 solubility rate
4. Extended shelf life
