The MBT™ is a portable thickness-measuring device designed for use on containers and similar products.
MBT is ideal for applications requiring high precision thickness measurements of non-ferrous materials up to 8 mm in thickness. It can be used for all types of containers and molded products regardless of size and shape. MBT is particularly useful for measuring the unique attributes found in bottles and containers that are typically difficult to measure accurately, such as heel, base and shoulder regions, decorated areas, small radii, complex shapes and sharp corners.
The MBT is battery operated and, due to its small size, is completely portable. The internal data logger and statistical functions facilitate data collection in production areas and QC laboratories, making it an ideal tool for data-gathering applications. A large digital display permits the operator to easily view current thickness readings as well as minimum measurements. Stored measurements can be transferred to other devices via an RS232 port.
